Mission Statement
The goals of Homeless Housing is to educate and empower visitors to reach out in their communities to improve the lives of the homeless right outside their doors.
Homelessness is more complicated than the media gives it credit. With an estimated 3,000 - 5,000 people in Portland without permanent homes on any given night, the homeless population is a diverse cross section of many marginalized groups. For more information on the demographics of homelessness page.
If you are interested in providing help in your community, please visit this page for more information on local organizations addressing this complex issue.
